"Because we live far away from our families and prefer to stay home for the holidays rather than flying in the unpredictable winter weather, we don’t have big family dinners or Christmas traditions that involve other family members. So to make it feel extra special, I try to make Christmas morning a big event: hot chocolate, a special breakfast, fun stockings, opening presents, a yummy dinner for just the (now) five of us. While it might not be as big of an event as if we were near our families, we enjoy being relaxed and low-key and having no pressure to go anywhere or do anything (which can be nice too!)." Oh Lovely Day
"From Christmas boat parades to gingerbread house decorating parties…I love every single one. But one tradition we have been doing ever since my oldest was just a baby is Christmas pajamas. Every year we give each other new Christmas PJ’s to wear. Because going to bed in cozy, festive jammies just screams Christmas in my book. And they are not just for sleeping, we wear them to watch movies, drink coco, see christmas lights and even decorate cookies. Basically we live in them for the month of Christmas..." - Tell Love and Party
"One of my favorite Christmas Traditions is reading the The Night Before Christmas with Harper! My parents used to read it to us and we just loved it. Every year we looked forward to reading it together. I am so happy that I am able to share this sweet tradition with my baby girl. Harper just loves it. We cozy up every night to read and count down the days until Christmas." - Our Vintage Farm House
"Now that we have two children we’ve started thinking more about family Christmas traditions. I didn’t realize how many traditions we had growing up until I got married and learned about the different ways my husband celebrated Christmas." - Heart Of Deborah
"I realized that no matter how early or late one loses a baby, miscarriage is something that needs to be talked about, and I have found much freedom in talking about mine. We've been able to heal and really trust God and see His renewal and grace through it all. Ultimately, His timing and His plan is far better than ours. My mind is already swirling with nesting ideas and all the things related to having a new baby. We are so so excited, and can't wait to meet this new addition this coming summer!" Hello June Bug
"Operation Christmas Child. I’ve mentioned this before- it’s an organization that I absolutely love. Each year we pack a box for a child in need in another part of the world. Just a special way to give and to teach my own kids the importance of giving. It’s what this season is all about!" - Katie Did What
"Every year since before I can remember, my family would do an annual cookie decorating party. We’d listen to holiday tunes, bake and decorate sugar cookies, and sip on hot cocoa. This year, I wanted to do the same with Mark and Austin, wearing our favorite festive Hanna Andersson jammies, of course." - Whiskey and Lace
"As we head into the end of December, we are prepping for our first expat Christmas here in New Zealand! After searching and finally finding a home (I will be sharing some “before” sneak peeks of our space next week), spending the past two weeks attempting to settle in and furnish this house of ours, and preparing for the arrival of our baby in less than a month, Christmas has honestly been the last thing on my mind. That is until I realized that Christmas was basically a week away and we still had yet to buy a tree, put up lights, or buy a single present! After completely missing Halloween, Holden’s favorite holiday, because of traveling at the time, I knew that we couldn’t do the same for Christmas (nor would I want to!). I’ve found a Kiwi Christmas to be quite different from Christmas as we know it from the States and thought I’d share a few differences between an American Christmas and a New Zealand Christmas…" - Bel & Beau
There are so many moments that make the holidays. It can be as simple as sitting by the fireplace giggling over a cup of hot cocoa. Or enjoying your favorite decorated sugar cookie by the Christmas tree. Maybe your favorite holiday moment is wearing your Hanna Andersson soft, organic cotton pajamas and snuggling up in bed reading your favorite holiday story. Or jumping on the bed and laughing until your side hurts..." The Little Style File
"I have a thing for a family in matching holiday jammies. My siblings and I dress our kids each Christmas (and even 4th of July this year!) in matching ‘Hanna Jams,’ because the patterns are always adorable and they’re so durable, plus I love that it’s organic cotton. Easton is still wearing pairs of jammies that both Asher and his cousin have worn from 7 years ago!" - Against All Grain
