Only a lady as shrewd and design-savvy as Gabrielle Blair (aka the one and only Design Mom) would dare choose to put four girls in to a single bedroom if it wasn't completely necessary. But dare she did, and she makes a good case for it too:
Blair says, "when there are two of you sharing a room, and you’re irritated about something, it’s easy to direct that irritation at your roommate. And those recurring negative experiences can make for a tense relationship. But if there are four of you in the room, the irritation gets dissipated. It’s easier to see that 3 people aren’t intentionally bugging you, that you are simply bugged and it has nothing to do with the people in the room."
It's a good argument for sure, and we loved how she pulled it all together and made it work. Using a color palette of white, black, greys, and red, she was able to create a modern and calming haven for her girls. She used some of our favorite pieces from Hanna Home, like our Stripe Happy Throw, HannaSoft Swedish Stripe Sheet Set, graphic black and white storage bins, and Stripey Wool Dhurrie Rugs to bring the whole room together.
