Striped Photobooth Prop DIY

For the launch of our new store design in Kenwood, Ohio we set up a little photobooth with some cute props for kids to play with during the event. We handmade all the props ourselves and they turned out so well we thought we would share this fun and simple DIY project!

First, download the template for the props HERE.

Supplies needed:

  • Decorative paper
  • Cardboard (cereal boxes work great!)
  • Scissors
  • Sticks or pencils for the handles
  • Glue

Start by gluing the paper onto the cardboard. Carefully cut out the shapes using the printed templates (hint: an exacto knife works well for hard-to-reach places but make sure to keep out of reach from little hands!). Then glue your props to the sticks and let dry. We added a strip of washi tape to the backs of the props for a little extra flair but ya know, it's not required :)

Final step: Go take some silly pictures! These props are surprisingly sturdy with the cardboard backing so they can last for multiple sessions.

Our party theme was SHOW US YOUR STRIPES, so we used striped paper but you can use whatever you like. The options are endless and the designs are so cute that any and all paper would be adorable. The kids loved playing with these props!
